I had the pleasure of working with Asia Bribiesca-Hedin when we selected her as a speaker for the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Los Angeles’( AFP-GLAC) IDEA ( Inclusion. Diversity. Equity. Access.) Committee session “Positioning You and Your Team for Success.” She did not disappoint. Her body of expertise and ability to combine humor, data and truth telling into a highly focused presentation is unparalleled. Her command of the audience and penchant for turning uncomfortable conversations about leadership, leading diverse teams and all the messy things that go with into learning moments that could be put to immediate use was the icing on the cake. In a time where our world and the workforce has a million and one things to reckon with, it’s nice to know that Asia shows up in truth and in service.
